JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to completion. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, but not limited to. 


SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL:
1. High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED). 
2. Minimum (5) five years of experience as an electrician.
3. Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
4. Ability to read, write, speak and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions and procedure manuals.
5. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited 
Standardization exists. 
6. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
7. Ability to work in a friendly manner and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and board policies.
8. Ability to work independently.
9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.  Must be able to e-mail or text from district cell phone.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Light, power, air conditioning, and refrigeration. This position will be responsible for but not limited to installation, component replacement, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, and communications. They also will install and maintain the electronic controls for machines in food services, custodial and District office. Successful applicant will:


1. Analyze trouble and performs needed repairs and maintenance to electrical equipment, lighting, low voltage systems and wiring.
2. Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines.
3. Analyze repairs kitchen and office equipment as needed.
4. Install and test electrical equipment.
5. Performs regular preventative maintenance for all electrical components and supervises plant managers in the upkeep of electrical closest/rooms. .
6. Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase.
7. Required to be on-call.
8. Assists contractors and vendors.
9. Understands and applies safety-related precautions as outlined in MSDS.
10. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Project Manager.
11. Energy management savings: adjust, maintains and repairs all time metered systems seasonally.
12. Repairs and maintains ball field and parking lot lights.

Supervised by the Director of Maintenance and Transportation

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of customers or employees.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
