JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  


1. Require a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Possess excellent communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.                                       
3. Require a minimum of two years' experience in customer service or business-related positions.     
4. Require experience in Word, Excel, and payroll software (Visions) and time keeping software. 
5. Require experience in employee benefits and payroll processing.                                       
6. Require knowledge and understanding of insurance terminology and payroll best practices.             
7. Maintain confidentiality of records and correspondence.                                                           
8. Work with high volume detailed work with accuracy.                                                               
9. Relate to students, staff and public in a positive manner.



 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  


The primary responsibility of this position is to assist employees with benefits, manage all insurance billings, maintain employee insurance files and manage employee's payroll deductions.   

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

1. Administer district benefit package for new current employees (medical, Life, Short-term, FSA, HSA and tax sheltered annuities)
2. Organize and maintain insurance records and employee payroll files.
3. Provide assistance to all employees by answering questions and requests in regards to benefit and payroll information in a timely manner.
4. Arrange and conduct employee information presentations, open enrollments and employee health programs.
5. Audit and reconcile employee benefit billing statements and process monthly premium payments.
6. Tracking of district retirement groups, claims processing and self-billings of insurance.
7. Assist Human Resource department in providing salary information on verification of employment requests.
8. Maintain employee confidence and protects benefit and payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
9. Handles all Worker's Compensation claims, reports, OSHA log, and return-to-work program for the district.
10. Supports biweekly payroll functions.
11. Contribute to the team by accomplishing additional duties as assigned.



 











 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:  

 


LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of customer or employees.


 


REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations / issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and verbal form.


 


EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the Supervisor of Payroll and Benefits.


 


SUPERVISION: Supervised by the Supervisor of Payroll/Benefits.  Exercises no supervisory responsibilities.

Salary Range: $18.25 - $27.71 (DOE)
